Aftercare & ongoing support
When one of my ponies goes to a new family, the relationship doesn't end - it changes. I'm here for the long haul.
The settling-in call
I'll ring at the end of the first week. Every pony has a wobble in a new home - small refusals, feed changes, a lost shoe. We'll talk through anything that's come up.
My mobile in your phone
Whenever you need me, you have my number. WhatsApp a photo, ring on the way home from a show, call at 9pm on a Sunday. I'd rather hear from you than not.
Lessons on the yard
You are always welcome back to the yard for lessons with me, either individually or in small groups. Especially helpful before a big competition or a change of discipline.
Refresher stays
If a pony needs a top-up of schooling - a week or two back on the yard - that's often the quickest fix for a small issue. I offer this at cost for my own ponies.
If something isn't right
Sometimes a partnership isn't the fit we hoped for. I'll help - coaching, further schooling, or in rare cases taking the pony back. I care what happens next.
Moving up
When your child outgrows their pony, I can help find the next one, help sell the current one, or take them in trade. Many families come back for pony number two, three - occasionally four.
Why aftercare matters so much to me
I've seen too many families sold a pony and then left to figure it out alone. That's not how I was taught, and it's not how I run this yard.
The truth is, no matter how well a pony is produced, the first months in a new home come with questions. Small confidence knocks. Feed changes. A trip to a first show that doesn't go as planned. These are the moments when a phone call to someone who knows the pony — and knows you — makes all the difference.
You never have to feel silly ringing me. I would rather answer twenty small questions than have you worry alone about one big one.
